OVERVIEW
June 10th, 198X.
That was the day that the town of Cherry Falls’ popular shopping center mysteriously remained closed.
It was also the day that all hell had broken loose in the sleepy, forest-surrounded town.
It was a sickness. It was turning people into… something else. Something not human; They shambled about, blood dripping from their mouths and splattered across tattered clothes.
They were zombies. A single bite from them would turn a perfectly healthy human into a bloodthirsty monster within days. Aggressive, slow, but particularly dangerous in swarms, these things single-handedly plunge the town into a nightmare unlike anything they’ve ever seen.
You learn, however, that they can be killed - with a wound to the brain.
Two weeks has passed since The First Day, and the once peaceful town of Cherry Falls has been completely ravaged.
All of you have one goal in mind.
Survive.

FACTIONS
Joining & Switching
The world has opened up and the once-isolated Mall faction has slowly discovered other groups of survivors. Some of them friendly and some not. Player characters may choose which faction they want to devote their time to. New player characters can start in any available faction, just keep in mind that they must follow standard faction-switching rules. In order to switch factions you must purchase a Faction Change in their facility. You can purchase the change in the Mall Shop
The only exception to this rule is the Mall, which serves as neutral ground. Note: You may visit other faction facilities/do missions for them regardless of your affiliation! Though be wary, the factions remember your actions, and if you lose too much reputation with them they may not like you very much and could even kick you out. Don't piss off the people housing you, and if possible do what you can to be in their good graces. Your character may change factions once per chapter. However if their reputation is low enough they may be forced to move and that faction might not let them re-join later. NPCs
NPCs can fluctuate from any faction without purchasing a plot. However, they MAY NOT do missions/faction mini events. In addition, please refrain from playing out any game-changing personal plots between your npc and their faction; "ie. My NPC tries to kill the leader of another faction". For this reason, NPCs are always considered neutral for all factions.
If you switch a Player Character with a NPC, you may choose to give the old Player Character's land to the new Player Character - or abandon it. |
The Mall
Alignment: Neutral-Good
Leaders: Suzie & Hannah The Mall was formed over time from the natural alliance of nearby survivors. At first it was a bit disorganized, but through trial and error it managed to agree on becoming a civilized community. The mall welcomes just about anyone with the only rules being to not kill, maim, steal or otherwise cause trauma to the other members... Be kind to one another and lets hope to find the cure! |
Indigo
Alignment: Chaotic-Neutral
Leaders: Big Mama & Gran-Daddy The Indigo treat one other like a big dysfunctional family. You hurt their family? They hurt you. You another family member? You get punished. The Indigo welcomes just about anyone, but be warned not to step on Big Mama's toes... Cure who? Embrace the chaos! |
Elpis
Alignment: Lawful-Neutral
Leader: Will Knightley Elpis strives for a better future, using previous and personal research to rebuild a new society from the ashes of Cherry Falls. They follow their own strict codes of conduct and expect those who join to do the same. They are currently researching a cure! |
